Cavern, Intro to Cave & cave diving courses, 09.01 - 09.08

General Information

Land drills and check out dives will be conducted in and around High Springs, FL. There are many options for air travel available. You can fly to Gainesville, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Tampa or Orlando. Some of the dive sites may be located as far as 50 miles from your lodging, you would need to have an access to or rent a vehicle for the duration of your stay in Florida.

The water temperatures are 68F to 72F (20° to 22° Celsius) depending on a dive site but remain the same throughout the year. Most people will be comfortable diving a drysuit with 200 weight (or equivalent) undergarments or a 7mm wetsuit and a hood. If diving a wetsuit we recommend a semi-dry or farmer john style wetsuits.

If all students who are taking courses during this time are enrolled in both Cavern/Intro To Cave and Apprentice/Full Cave courses, academics days can be combined into one and the schedule can be shortened by one day.
